FN Platform: Panel Discussion On The Next Generation Of Family-Run Shoe Companies

A new crop of players are playing key roles in the footwear industry—and they just so happen to be following in their parents’ footsteps.

On Tuesday, February 16, Footwear News will host a panel at the FN Platform trade show in Las Vegas exploring the next generation of family-run footwear companies (and how they’re shaking things up).

Speakers at the seminar will include Jesse Edelman, national brand manager of Circus by Sam Edelman and Sam & Libby; Seth Campbell, VP of international sales at BBC International; and Jori Miller, VP of product development at Minnetonka Moccasin. It will be moderated by FN’s associate fashion editor Christian Allaire.

The seminar will explore the pros and cons of working alongside family, what valuable skills the new generation has learned along the way, and the major changes they’ve noticed since their parents first began in the industry.

We’ll also ask the brands what’s new for the fall ’16 season, as well as the rising trends consumers and retailers should look out for.

Venue: Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall, Level 2, Room S229.
