It was a full house this weekend at the birthday celebration of “Full House” creator Jeff Franklin. In the house (see what we did there?) were Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin, who played D.J. and Stephanie Tanner; John Stamos and Bob Sagat; and Lori Loughlin, best known as Aunt Becky. The last time the crew was together was at Dave Coulier’s wedding to his longtime partner, Melissa Bring, last July. Though we didn’t see Coulier (Uncle Joey) or twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (who both played youngest sister, Michelle) at Franklin’s birthday bash, the group seemed to have a blast, culminating in an on-stage sing-a-long, where they belted out the show’s theme song, “Everywhere You Look,” which actress Andrea Barber, who played Kimmy Gibbler, caught on video.
The moment got us feeling quite nostalgic — not only for ‘90s television (“Full House Reunion,” anyone?) but for ’90s footwear! Here are a few shoe moments from the show and the decade that we will never forget.

The Classics
Uncle Jessie and Uncle Joey in their white-on-white lace-up leather sneakers? Worn, of course, with everything from suits to overalls to board shorts! Makes us want to dust off our Reeboks.
Mary Janes
Aside from their cute catchphrases, twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen always got our attention with their colorful Mary Janes and bobby socks, usually in patent leather for added pop.
Cowboy Boots
Is it just us, or was D.J. often more stylish than Stephanie? From cowboy boots to metallic sneakers — the ’90s were truly the forget-the-occasion, just-wear-what-you-feel era of footwear.
Clunky and Funky
Platforms had their moment in the ’70s and have circled back in recent years, but in the ’90s, lace-up shoes with two-inch platforms — all the way around — were a thing, really a thing, for men and women.
Candy-Coated Keds
Taylor Swift may show off her favorite Keds now, but the girls on “Full House” sported the sneaker throughout their show. Popular because of the available color variations, you could always find a pair of Keds to fit your flavor and your style. And you still can!
