The stars aligned for actress and mogul — and now, denim designer — Jessica Alba.
The Honest Company founder, along with her famous friends, celebrated the launch of her JA x DL1961 denim collection Friday for Revolve at Revolve Social Club in Los Angeles.
“Shimmying with my favorite southern bell @reesewitherspoon,@revolve in @dl1961denim #jaxdl1961,” she captioned an Instagram video featuring Reese Witherspoon showcasing Alba’s range of jeans.
The “Sin City” actress was clad in JA x DL1961 black jeans and a matching blouse and a pair of Gianvito Rossi booties.
Witherspoon rocked Alba’s jeans and teamed it with a blouse from her own new line Draper James, and finished the look with a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels.

Other boldface names who feted Alba on her big night included Rachel Zoe, Jaime King, Jasmine Sanders, Busy Philipps, Olivia Culpo, Molly Sims, Chanel Iman, Jhene Aiko, APL founders Adam and Ryan Goldston, and Jamie Chung.
“Hangover II” star Chung rocked head-to-toe wares from Revolve, including the retailer’s new Stone Cold Fox x Raye shoes. The Stone Cold Fox x Raye collection debuted on Thursday at Revolve Social Club with an appearance by supermodel-actress Emily Ratajkowski.
The occasion marked Stone Cold Fox’s first foray into footwear, featuring a collection of day-to-night boho sandals, boots and heels that incorporate luxe suede, tassels and jewel tones. Prices range from $180 to $230, available on Revolve.com.
Speaking to Footwear News at JA x DL1961’s launch, Revolve co-founder Michael Mente emphasized the importance of “organic” collaborations for retail business.
“With Stone Cold Fox, we carried the line since their first delivery, for years and years, and now that we have Raye and developed it, we can do collaborations with shoes, so it’s perfect,” Mente shared. “And Jessica (Alba) has been a customer for so long, and has been one of our muses, so it made perfect sense.”
Mente added that Revolve’s approach to footwear is to provide consumers with styles that stand out in the market.
“Shoes are essential and important to our customers,” he explained. “It’s an area that we’re still developing. There’s not a whole lot in the range that’s cheap and quick — just knock off stuff or high end — but what we’re trying to do with our shoes is find high quality that’s original in design for our customers, that’s our zone.”
The importance of standout shoe style is something that Mente knows well. The Revolve CEO recalled the time he rocked a pair of laser-cut white Lanvin shoes that got him attention in an unexpected way.
“One time I was wearing a pair of Lanvin shoes, around seven or eight years ago, at Paris Fashion Week I was shot for street style,” he shared. “Two weeks later I was downtown at the Parker Center police station (in Los Angeles) — I was picked up for a DUI, which I did not get because I wasn’t drunk, but the police officer came into the holding tank to ask me about my shoes, literally two weeks after Paris Fashion Week. They resonated with a lot of people.”
