Heading to a festival this spring? Iconic ’70s shoe brand Kork-Ease has just the shoe to get you there.
Kork-Ease is partnering with retailer Free People to unveil its first-ever collaborative style — the Original platform sandal. The sky-high archival style — standing at four inches — is being reintroduced as the Heights platform, available in four ’70s-inspired colors.
With the current resurgence of retro looks from the decade, Kork-Ease and Free People decided the moment was right to introduce the style. “We have been waiting for the perfect moment to put this shoe back on shelves,” said Tom McClaskie, Kork-Ease creative director. “When Free People approached us for this exclusive, it was a no-brainer; their brand champions the femininity, courage and spirit of Kork-Ease. We dug into our archives and brought back a mold from the early collection to create this shoe. It is time to reclaim ownership; wannabes have come and gone, but only one brand, the one that made a wedge a movement, can remain timeless.”

The Heights style is available in rust suede, caramel suede, rainbow snake embossed leather and bleached stained denim. The shoes incorporate a leather-cushioned footbed and rubber outsole. It retails for $160 and is available at select Free People stores, Freepeople.com and Korkease.com.
