Mita Sneakers’ ‘$1,000 Bill’ Puma Clyde Isn’t as Expensive as It Looks

Japan’s Mita Sneakers has already produced a strong group of sneaker collaborations this year, and it’s sneaking in a revamped version of a classic release before it’s all said and done.

The Mita Sneakers x Puma Clyde “$1,000 Bill” takes the theme seen on the store’s 2007 Puma Clyde “Money” collaboration and adds even more flair to the cash-themed kicks. The sneakers are built around a black suede upper, which is covered in a print on its lateral side that imagines NBA great Walt “Clyde” Frazier as the face of the $1,000 bill.

At the medial section, the Mita Sneakers x Puma Clyde “$1,000 Bill” features mismatched blue and red Puma formstrip branding on the right and left shoes, respectively. Further separating this 2016 release from its 2007 predecessor is the addition of a rhinestone-bedazzled formstrip at the lateral section, which complements the high-priced theme.

If this pair is on your radar, you won’t have to wait for a chance to buy them: The Mita Sneakers x Puma Clyde collaboration is available now exclusively from Mita Sneakers for ¥ 18,000, which converts to around $156.
