Native Shoes, known for its colorful collection of lightweight looks for men, women and kids, has teamed up for its fifth collaboration with Pleats Please Issey Miyake.The capsule spring collection is available at Issey Miyake stores in New York, Paris, Zurich, London and Japan.
“We’re excited to work with Pleats Please Issey Miyake again,” said Dominique Morriset, global marketing director of Native Shoes. “It only seemed fitting to work together on an iteration of one of our newer silhouettes, the Apollo, a modernized take on the classic moccasin. Blending our love of color and future technology, the final look is what we hoped for.”
Using the Apollo as a canvas, the Issey Miyake team created a design inspired by the color palette and textures in the designer’s apparel collection. The result is three versions of the style, which has a glossy block heel and a speckled insole.

“This collection expresses the often unforeseen and thrilling moments that happen in our daily lives by adding the modernity and humor of Pleats Please Issey Miyake,” noted the design team.
The women’s-only collaboration is available in three Native Shoes colorways — dublin grey, mustard yellow and quail purple. The style retails for $107.
