AAFA American Image Awards

Fashionable names and labels such as Christian Siriano, Joseph Abboud, BBC International LLC, Shinola Detroit and Iris Apfel will receive the top honors this week at the annual American Apparel and Footwear Association American Image Awards. The ceremony, hosted Tuesday in New York, will benefit the nonprofit Mercy Ships.

Curry 2.5 Release

Under Armour unveiled its latest shoe for Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry last month, and the release date has finally arrived. The shoe is one that he’s worn in games toward the end of the regular season and takes design elements from the Warriors’ home state and name. The Under Armour Curry 2.5 will land at Foot Locker and Under Armour’s website on Saturday, with a worldwide release slated for July 1. The shoe will retail for $135.

Deckers, DSW, Caleres Earnings Watch

Footwear groups Deckers Brands (which owns Ugg, Teva and more) and Caleres Inc. (parent company of Sam Edelman and Via Spiga) report earnings this week on Thursday. Retailer DSW reports on Tuesday. Market watchers are looking at how brands fared at Easter, promotional activity and comp store sales.
