Watch Jimmy Kimmel Prank Yeezy Boost Fans

Jimmy Kimmel continued his pattern of pranking pedestrians walking on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles on Tuesday night’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” In line with the release of  Kanye West and Adidas’ newest Yeezys, the talk-show host decided to create a fake pair of the coveted kicks and asked people their opinions of the “new” shoe.

“I feel like I would be able to jump higher in these,” said one passerby.

The latest Yeezy Boost 750s were released Saturday in a light-brown colorway and retailed for $350. After Kimmel saw the same shoes on eBay for $1,200, he made his own pair costing only $12.50. To jazz it up, Kimmel also added fur and a compass to the very-fake shoes.

And it turns out people seem to appreciate almost anything that features the rapper’s name.

“If you push the compass in, look at how the shoe adjusts its size,” said the interviewer. “I feel it … that’s cool!” the person responded.

Note: The shoes do not adjust.

Others believed that the shoes had edible laces, that the footwear “could stop on a dime” and that West would plant a tree in Israel for every pair sold.
