Since its debut in December, the Adidas NMD has been touted by the brand as the ultimate urban exploration sneaker for nomadic lifestyles. Now the sneaker’s mission statement is being fully realized with a daredevil stunt making waves on social media.
In the clip below, an unnamed man risks his life as he leaps across a train track directly in front of an oncoming train. While the footage alone is already shocking, it’s the man’s sneakers that make the clip even more awe-inspiring.
Look closely and you’ll see he’s wearing the black Bape x Adidas NMD, which released on Saturday and is already reselling for up to $2,000. From what we can see in the clip, both the man and his costly kicks managed to walk away from this unscathed.
