America Ferrera took part in a “Barbie” Q&A held by the SAG-AFTRA Foundation in New York on Friday. The moderator for the conversation was writer, editor, producer and host Cori Murray.
Going the classic approach, the “Dumb Money” star sported a pair of glossy black pumps. The thespian’s neutral pair featured appealing black high-shine patent leather uppers that transitioned into triangular sharp pointed toes.
Additionally, Ferrera’s footwear included thin 2 to 3 inch stiletto heels that elevated her look ever so slightly. Pointed-toe pumps, no matter the style, are a go-to footwear silhouette for many celebrities, Ferrera included. Although they were simple in nature, the black pumps offered a neutral base to build the star’s outfit on. Traditional and simple, black pumps are exceedingly versatile. The beauty of the silhouette lies in its simplicity, offering any ensemble a touch of elegance without much effort.
The “Superstore” star was outfitted in a contrasting white bodycon dress. The garment featured long sleeves and gathered detailing that pulled the fabric every which way, creating movement. The dress stopped just a bit above Ferrera’s knees and was layered overtop black sheer nylon tights. Keeping things simple, the thespian wore a variety of dainty pearl studs and styled her short brown tresses in a face-framing side part.

When it comes to shoes, Ferrera opts for colorful and sharp styles. The “Ugly Betty” actress often wears pointed-toe pumps and heeled sandals for formal events, hailing from brands including Christian Louboutin. When off-duty, she can also be seen in heeled leather boots, as well as Nike and Converse sneakers.
“Barbie” hit theaters on July 21. The film, directed by Gerta Gerwig, features a star-studded ensemble cast including Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Dua Lipa, Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Hari Nef, Emma Mackey, Sharon Rooney, Simi Liu, Michael Cera, Alexandra Shipp and Nicola Coughlan.
