America Ferrera attended Glamour‘s Women of the Year Awards 2023 held yesterday in London.
During the event, the “Barbie” actress was named one of the publication’s Women of the Year. Other winners included Millie Bobby Brown, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Ariana DeBose, Lily Allen, Hannah Waddingham, Fats Timbo, Lionesses, Olivia Dean and Georgia Harrison.
The “Dumb Money” star towered above the rest during the event in a pair of impressive black platform boots. Appearing to be about ankle-length, the footwear featured glossy black patent leather uppers that transitioned into rounded toes and thick platform soles, offering her ensemble a lofty touch.
The boots featured block heels standing at an estimated 5 to 6 inches in height which also gave Ferrera a striking boost. As we move into the fall and winter seasons, more and more celebrities are beginning to adopt a variety of boot choices into their wardrobes.

The footwear is extremely versatile and leans both formal and casual depending on how it’s styled. Boots, no matter the style, are also extremely accessible, given that they are widely available from both low and high-end brands including Aldo, Bottega Veneta and Hunter among others.
Ferrera was outfitted in a white maxi-length gown the awards, likened to bridal wear. The garment fell off the shoulders and featured voluminous sleeves gathered to look like large blooming rosettes. The thespian’s dress also featured a flared skirt featuring a tattered hemline. Simply accessorizing, Ferrera sported a variety of diamond-encrusted jewelry which included dainty stud earrings and rings.
When it comes to shoes, Ferrera opts for colorful and sharp styles. The “Ugly Betty” actress often wears pointed-toe pumps and heeled sandals for formal events, hailing from brands including Christian Louboutin. When off-duty, she can also be seen in heeled leather boots, as well as Nike and Converse sneakers.
