Cate Blanchett attended Alexander McQueen‘s spring 2024 show held in Paris today.
Beyond Blanchett, notable attendees included Anna Wintour, Elle Fanning, Letitia Wright, Yara Shahidi, Eva Green, Jon Batiste and Gabriella Karefa-Johnson among others. This marks creative director Sarah Burton’s last show with the British fashion house after 26 years.
On her feet, the “Tar” star sported a pair of edgy knitted ankle-length boots from Alexander McQueen. The footwear was comprised of black knitted uppers that transitioned into shiny silver metal pointed toes. The set was rounded out with red stilettos standing at 1 to 2 inches in height, offering the thespian a subtle and walkable boost. As we transition into fall, boots are becoming a staple piece in many celebrities’ wardrobes. No matter the style, boots can offer any look a utilitarian touch.
Bringing the drama, the “Carol” actress sported a suiting-inspired ensemble cast in bold bright red and black hues. The thespian’s look was comprised of a plunging blazer-esque top featuring structural shoulders and a silky red pleated bodice accompanied by a billowing red cape that draped elegantly off her shoulders.

The striking top was paired alongside high-waisted tailored black trousers, offering a sleek and simple element to her look.
Blanchett regularly wears sharp heels on the red carpet. The “Cinderella” star can often be seen in neutral or metallic pointed-toe pumps with stiletto heels from a wide range of brands, including Christian Louboutin, Casadei, Givenchy and Giuseppe Zanotti. Off-duty, she can also be seen in low-soled and platform sneakers by Gucci, Roger Vivier and Stella McCartney.
Paris Fashion Week is held from Sept. 25 to Oct. 3, marking the final week of Fashion Month. The occasion will feature a range of fashion shows and presentations from numerous brands across Paris, France, including Dior, Chanel, Schiaparelli, Loewe and more.
