Up-and-coming pop star Chappel Roan is bringing back over-the-top looks.

For her appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon,” Roan wore two different ensembles. Self-labeled as “your favorite artist’s favorite artist” (which is modeled after Sasha Colby’s “your favorite drag queen’s favorite drag queen”), Roan arrived at the show in a look channeling a black swan. For her performance, she opted for a second outfit as a white swan.

Roan, who considers her public persona drag, has been steadily rising in visibility recently.

Working with stylist Genesis Webb, the black swan costume included a corset from The Blonds, a New York City-based label. Typically featured as the last show of New York Fashion Week, The Blonds created the piece with large black feathers and fringe. It was matched with fishnet stockings and long black earrings.

For that look, Roan wore boots from John Fluevog. The company prides itself on its unique styles which often feature bold prints and colors or novelty silhouettes.

In particular, Roan was wearing the company’s Grand National shoe, which is a platform bootie from the 1990s. The stylish clogs feature a unique side lacing and are available for $449.

The second look was the white version of the swan, created in collaboration with designer Gunnar Deatherage. Deatherage previously competed on Project Runway as well as that show’s All Stars iteration. Covered in feathers, the piece was inspired by ballet dancers and included a headpiece.

For the white swan footwear, Roan chose another pair of boots. The over-the-knee white latex shoes were made by Busted. The Los Angeles-based company, led by founder and head designer Mariano Cortez, uses latex as an everyday fabric in streetwear pieces.

Webb was assisted by Hunter Clem, Alexandria Paige Smith, and Liv Vitale in styling the looks.
