Dakota Johnson looked ethereal in a sheer dress and black high-heeled sandals at the premiere of her latest film, “Daddio,” during the 2024 Tribeca Festival on June 10. Johnson stars in Christy Hall’s drama as a woman who shares stories with her cab driver while traveling from JFK airport; the actress also co-produced the film.

Johnson opted for a diaphanous Gucci dress in a dark navy blue from the brand’s fall 2024 collection. The spaghetti-strapped garment reached just above her ankles and featured an intricate lacy design across the bust. Her signature long brown hair was on display, as was a long, thin necklace with a green stone and feather designed by Tiffany and Co.

To accompany her dress, Johnson wore a pair of sleek black high heel sandals. Providing her with an extra few inches, the open-toed shoes included two horizontal straps across the toe and two straps that criss-crossed around the front of the ankle.

A noted fan of Gucci, the actress previously appeared in the Italian brand’s Jackie 1961 campaign. She also wore a custom-made Gucci dress designed to resemble a spider web for the “Madame Web” premiere. Not long before the debut of “Daddio,” Johnson stepped out in New York wearing Gucci Signora slingback heels to accompany a sheer yellow skirt and white top. She donned the sharp red shoes in between shooting scenes for her upcoming film The Materialists.

Like other prestigious film festivals, Tribeca has been an opportunity for Hollywood creatives to show off their style. Kerry Washington has wowed in Chanel and a dress previously worn by Whitney Houston; Demi Moore wore an adventurous pair of surrealist Schiaparelli sneakers; and Lily Rabe wore black Malone Soulier mules, among other memorable looks.
