Emily Ratajkowski Takes Her Heels Into the Fast Lane at Monaco Grand Prix

Model and author Emily Ratajkowski made it to Monaco.

The star was one of a few major names that headed to Circuit de Monaco for the Formula 1 Grand Prix. For the outing, the “My Body” writer went event-appropriate wearing a matching leather jacket and pants, shades, as well as cracked white leather shoes.

Ratajkowski caught attention at the event in a moto-inspired oversized black and white leather jacket with similarly oversized black and white trousers. Underneath the suit, she wore a black and white bralette. The model wasn’t the only one to be seen in leather: Anya Taylor-Joy, who was also seen in Monaco this weekend, wore a leather motocycle jacket as well as patent leather Maison Margiela Tabi loafers.

For her shoes, Ratajkowski went with a pointed-toe heel. Though much of the footwear is covered by the oversized pant leg, the style includes a sharply pointed toe box. it also appears to be made of cracked, or otherwise textured white leather. The shoes likely include a thin stiletto heel at the back.

The shoe also seemingly includes markings: there seems to be a faint line where a toe cap might go as well as lining at the vamp as a collar of sorts. The shoe could be a pump or possibly a bootie with a stiletto heel.

White shoes are a classic spring and summer style. Whether as sneakers, pumps, boots, or a variety of other styles, white footwear is often seen during the hotter months. This follows a long held custom of “no white after Labor Day.”
