Australia’s Most Stylish Female Celebrities

In honor of Australia Day, Footwear News has rounded up the country’s most fashionable women. From models and singers to actors and DJs, Australia has a strong showing in the entertainment business.

The latest Aussie to make waves is breakout star Ruby Rose. The media personality may not have been a household name last year, but after making her U.S. television debut on “Orange Is The New Black,” she has exploded almost overnight. Rose is now a resident DJ in Las Vegas and has two major film roles coming up: in “John Wick,” which is currently filming, and “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.” Her street style often includes sneakers from Adidas or Saint Laurent, while her red carpet looks lean toward heels from Manolo Blahnik and Giuseppe Zanotti.

Cate Blanchett is another Aussie dominating Hollywood. The Oscar-winning actress is known for her classic style, which includes Roger Vivier, Zanotti and Christian Louboutin. Blanchett is once again taking awards season by storm, this year for her role in “Carol.” She is also set to receive the Lacoste Spotlight Award at the 18th Costume Designers Guild Awards this month for her career’s commitment to excellence focusing on the importance of costume design.

Nicole Kidman joins Blanchett as one of the most fashionable and successful actresses around. Kidman was been the face of Jimmy Choo’s ad campaigns in both 2013 and 2014. She has also been a red carpet staple since her debut in 1988. One of Kidman’s best looks was at the 1997 Oscars — in John Galliano for Christian Dior as she walked arm-in-arm with Tom Cruise.

Kidman recently accepted the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film in Brian Atwood Avice snakeskin sandals as best friend and fellow Australian Naomi Watts presented her with the award. “She took me under her wing and made me her sister. Her smaller sister,” said Watts.

Watts is a well-shod star in her own right. Her go-to designers include Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin.

A promising member of young Hollywood is Margot Robbie. The actress from Gold Coast, Australia, was popular down under for her TV role in “Neighbours” and was  nominated for several Logie Awards. But it wasn’t until “The Wolf Of Wall Street” that Robbie gained major notoriety in the U.S. Her red carpet shoe looks tend to range, but her green Christian Louboutins at the 2014 Golden Globes has been the look to beat.

Heading off-screen and looking toward the catwalk, Miranda Kerr, one of the world’s top models, comes straight from Sydney. Kerr was the first Australian model to be offered a contract with Victoria’s Secret. In 2015, Kerr was ranked No. 6 on the Forbes World’s Highest Paid Models list.
