Mrs. Biden is often seen wearing a long dress with a blazer and coordinated pointed-toe pumps. She paired a similar looking pair of blue heels for her husband’s 2021 Inauguration in Washington, D.C. In late May, she was seen wearing a pair of lime green Stuart Weitzman shoes with a teal colored outfit and also chose purple suede pumps to compliment her suit in October for Nickelodeon’s National Civics Day Event in Philadelphia.
Stiletto heels are shoes with a long, thin heel measuring at least 2-inches tall. Anything shorter is considered a kitten heel. Originally worn by male and female couriers until the French Revolution, they came back in style in the late 1800s with Salvatore Ferragamo and Charles Jourdan eventually paving the way for other designers after inventing the steel arch and stiletto heel in the 1950s.
