There were some standout dresses at the Golden Globes, but standout footwear was tough to come by. Plenty of classic pumps and sandals were on display, but very few stars took risks when it came to their shoes.
The biggest gamble came from “American Horror Story” actor Denis O’Hare, who looked great in a pair of Christian Louboutin platform sandals.
For awards season, many stars opt for shoes that give them a little extra height under their long gowns as opposed to picking a pair that steals the show.

Jennifer Lopez was another celebrity who didn’t shy away from bold shoes. The singer and actress paired her Giambattista Valli yellow gown with Jimmy Choo sparkly pumps that got some camera time thanks to the thigh-high slit in her dress.

Kate Hudson went for a monochrome look, wearing custom-dyed Giuseppe Zanotti platform sandals with her Michael Kors dress. Alicia Vikander did the same, allowing a pair of white sandals to peek through the sheer hem of her Louis Vuitton dress.
Among the guys, we’re loving Bryshere Y. Gray’s Dsqaured2 patent leather loafers that added serious shine to his look.
