At the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday evening, Jimmy Choo dominated the red carpet. While celebrities often have their choice of dozens of shoes for an event, many looked to Choo’s Pearl satin platform sandal to complement their looks.
Jada Pinkett Smith, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara, Rachel McAdams, Joanne Froggatt and Emilia Clarke wore the Pearl on Sunday night. Smith’s were custom-dyed to match her green Versace dress. While most of the dresses concealed the shoes, Footwear News has an inside look at the style.
Jimmy Choo designer Sandra Choi said in a statement that the brand is very proud to have been on the red carpet for 20 years.
“Hollywood glamour is an integral part of Jimmy Choo, and as a designer, it is incredibly rewarding to see our designs come to life on the red carpet,” she said.

While the Pearl style is not available to buy, the brand says it does take note of popular styles during awards season and will occasionally make them available. This was the case with the Minny sandals, which continue to be popular. Rosie Huntington-Whitely wore them on the red carpet with her Versace dress, and Emilia Clarke wore them to the HBO after-party.
Other Jimmy Choo styles on the Golden Globe red carpet included the Whistler pumps worn by Jennifer Lopez and the Abel pumps worn by Kate Winslet.
