Harry Jowsey kicked off the fall season in sporty style — complete with an early 2000’s twist.

On Sunday, the “Too Hot to Handle” star left dance rehearsals for the upcoming 32nd season of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” — which he’ll be competing in alongside celebrities including Tyson Beckford, Alyson Hannigan and Mira Sorvino when it premieres on Sept. 26. For the occasion, Jowsey strapped into a pair of Puma’s chunky white Velophasis Technisch sneakers. His $120 style featured round-toed white mesh uppers with white and black overlay, further secured by translucent white TPU accents.

The two-toned pair, inspired by Puma‘s own running sneakers from the 2000’s, was complete with smooth white front laces, exaggerated white rubber outsoles and light golden brown bases for an athletic feel. Aside from its retro appearance, the set also leaned into comfort from its soft sockliners, CMEVA midsoles and padded counters — all ideal elements for post-workout shoes, following a day of physical activity.

Jowsey’s footwear — the same style of which was over-dyed in pink and purple hues from Puma’s summer collaboration with Pleasures — also leaned into the rising popularity of chunky men’s sneakers, which feature exaggerated soles and paneling reminiscent of “dad sneakers” from the ’90s and early 2000’s. Pairs have been regularly released in a variety of colors from numerous labels in recent months, including Adidas, Versace and Bottega Veneta.

The actor’s shoes completed his rehearsal outfit for the occasion, as well: a ribbed black round-necked tank top and deep gray sweatpants. The athleisure set was nonchalantly paired with white Nike tube socks, bringing Jowsey’s look a distinctly vintage feel. However, for a modern update, he layered it with a black Apple Watch and Louis Vuitton‘s Keepall Bandoulière 50 duffel bag — a $2,500 monogrammed style with color-blocked sections of gray and black — naturally, all covered in Vuitton’ss signature “LV” monogram.

Jowsey’s tonal outfit also leaned into the rise of men’s under-the-radar athleisure, where soft and breathable sweatpants, sweatshirts and tank tops are often cast in nondescript neutral hues of beige, black and gray for an easygoing appearance. Jowsey’s pairing of a classic round-necked undershirt with a more open pant allowed for a practical take on the look, also seen in new athleisure releases from brands including Alo Yoga, Fair Harbor and Elite Eleven.

Jowsey’s shoe style is often relaxed and easygoing. The YouTuber often wears an array of white sneakers for day-to-day occurrences, primarily hailing from Nike. For more formal occasions, Jowsey has also slipped on chunky Prada and Gucci loafers — in addition to the aforementioned sneakers, as well.
