The stars descended upon the 2024 Independent Spirit Awards on Sunday in Santa Monica, Calif., transforming the red carpet into a fashion runway. Among the dazzling array of designer gowns and statement accessories, shoe moments stole the spotlight, showcasing a fusion of creativity and sophistication.

Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman wore the Jimmy Choo “Minny” sandals in a fiery-red tone. The barely-there heels complemented her red floral-embellished look, which was from Balmain‘s spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection.
Michelle Williams
Michelle Williams made a gold statement on the red carpet with her cap-toe boots from Chanel‘s spring 2023 couture collection. She also wore a coatdress in bronze, gold and blue iridescent lamé tweed adorned with an embroidered front martingale from the same collection.

Trace Lysette
Trace Lysette played with different prints on the red carpet, wearing a colorful pair of stiletto boots covered in various patterns. The statement shoe added an extra pop of color to her gold metallic look.
Hannah Einbinder
Hannah Einbinder donned head-to-toe Louis Vuitton. Her all-black look included a pair of leather pumps from the brand, which featured ruching throughout. She wore a black leather bustier, a black pleated skirt and carried a black Petite Malle bag.
Charles Melton
Charles Melton was also dressed by Louis Vuitton. The actor wore a pair of black loafers from the brand’s pre-fall 2024 collection. His outfit also featured a blue double-breasted blazer with a white shirt, white tie and khaki pants.
The 2024 Independent Spirit Awards celebrate independent filmmakers and recognize outstanding achievements in film and TV from the last year. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by former “SNL” member Aidy Bryant.
