J Balvin and his girlfriend, Valentina Ferrer, attended Day Two of the U.S. Open 2023, held yesterday in New York. The rapper and his partner watched the first-round match between Venus Williams and Greet Minnen.
When it comes to footwear, J Balvin chose a pair of sporty sneakers. The “Mi Gente” singer will release his Air Jordan 3 in “Medellín Sunset” on Sept. 23 at select Jordan Brand retailers, Nike.com (SNKRS) and Stadium Goods. The sneaker’s colorway pulls from the sunset tones found overhead in the skies of Balvin’s home city Medellín, Columbia.
For the tennis match, Ferrer donned a stark white halter-style cropped tank worn with white low-rise trousers. The Columbian hitmaker wore a vibrant ensemble comprised of a slightly sheer mesh forest green polo worn with coordinating high-waisted pleated dark green trousers.
Aside from his bold attire and love of fancy footwear, Balvin is well-known within the fashion industry for his numerous brand collaborations. One of the musician’s most recent fashion endeavors was the release of his streetwear collection, created with Miller Lite, titled BodegaWear.

The line was inspired by the vibe, look and culture of Bodegas. Balvin has also launched collaborations with Jordan Brand and Guess Originals.
The U.S. Open is an annual tennis tournament, held in New York City at the end of the summer season. The 2023 event will be held through Sept. 10, with a range of parties held throughout from brands including Stella McCartney, Amex and Dobel Tequila. The occasion also draws numerous celebrity guests, including Michelle Obama, Hilaria Baldwin, Lindsey Vonn and more.
