Janelle Monae brought an array of statement styles to the stage for her latest tour.
While in New Orleans at the Orpheum Theatre on Saturday, Monae took to the stage during her “The Age of Pleasure” tour in blooming style — thanks to a pair of dynamic boots. The musician appeared in a set of low-heeled white boots, which were coated in multicolored three-dimensional flowers. The garden-worthy style served as the base for Monae’s matching cape, creating a bold statement.
The musician’s intricate outfit was quickly removed to reveal its surprise base layer: a lapeled black bodysuit over fishnet tights, accented with a large pin shaped like a red rose. The look also smoothly complemented her stage setup, which featured an array of floral decorations as well.
However, this wasn’t Monae’s only concert look. Later in her set, the “Glass Onion” star switched into a pair of black leather loafers, whose rounded toes received a whimsical flair from red heart accents. The set brought a sharp base to Monae’s new attire, a dapper black suit — featuring a cropped blazer, trousers and a cape — covered in gleaming dark embellishments. Her suit was complete with white socks, as well as a bowler-style hat covered in dark crystals for an added burst of sparkle.

Monáe’s shoe style is often glamorous and sleek. The musician often pairs her red carpet outfits with heeled sandals, platform and pointed-toe pumps from top brands including Jimmy Choo, Giuseppe Zanotti and Christian Louboutin. Off-duty, she can also be seen in Oxford loafers, heeled boots and Converse and L.A.M.B. sneakers.
