Julia Fox Goes Bold in Red Pointy Pumps at Room to Grow Gala

Julia Fox attended the star-studded Room to Grow 25th Anniversary Gala on Wednesday in New York City with yet another head-turning look.

Fox stepped boldly out in a pair of patent leather red pointed-toe pumps. The classic shape sported 2 or 3-inch stilettos, measuring a bit shorter than her usual sky-high heels.

The “Uncut Gems” actor often opts for the drama of the pointed toe, completing her runway-ready looks with pointy stilettos and knee- or thigh-high boots, often in coordinating colors and materials the rest of her outfit. Pointed-toes have made a sharp comeback this year, as seen on Paris Hilton, Kesha, Emily Ratajkowski and Jennifer Lawrence.

Perfectly matching her shoes, Fox wore a red fur coat over her shoulders, an ultra-shiny red leather “dress” with large cutouts that looked like that material had been wrapped around her legs. The rich color scheme made the auburn highlights in her curled hair pop, which she paired with a dark red lip and muted eye makeup.

Room to Grow is a non-profit that supports low-income families in New York and Boston in raising healthy, happy kids. The gala raised money for their vital programs that offer families clothes and toys, parenting support to connect them with other community resources and child development tools during the essential first three years of a baby’s life.

This year’s gala was hosted by Room to Grow Founder Julia Burns and Uma Thurman, who gave a speech to kick things off. Broadcast journalist and talk show host Tamron Hall was named the Champions of Change Honoree, and Fox, Kelly Osbourne, playwright Matthew Lopez, actor Aja Naomi King and others served as gala ambassadors. Amy Schumer, Maya Hawke and Broadway actor and singer Patina Miller also chipped in as host committee members.

When veering out from pointy-toes, she wears sky-high platforms and shoes with unique heels, like the cutout modern mules she wore for a more casual pantless look while walking around NYC.

Fox’s memoir, Down The Drain, came out earlier this month and details the traumas and challenges she’s overcome to become one of fashion’s most intriguing muses.
