Kate Beckinsale Poses in 8-Inch Red Pleaser Heels for Her Birthday

Kate Beckinsale shared her latest shoe acquisition on social media this week.

In a sweet gesture, Beckinsale’s close friend Nina Kate gifted her a towering set of glossy red platform shoes. Beckinsale commemorated the moment in a series of snapshots in an Instagram photo dump, spotlighting the pair: an open-toed sandal with thick front soles, curved toe straps and buckled ankle straps, set atop towering pleaser heels totaling 8 inches in height.

“@nina_kate thank you for my present from home. Strong urge to go and buy a Bombay bad boy and some firelighters,” Beckinsale captioned her post.

The “Underworld” actress’ platform footwear was in lieu with her range of dynamic heeled shoes, which routinely include thick soles and 6 to 7-inch heels. The gift from Kate follows Beckinsale’s celebration of the latex designer’s birthday last week — where Beckinsale, Kate and a group of their friends whimsically dressed up in princess gowns. For the occasion, Beckinsale cheekily paired her princess costume with a set of black combat boots with ridged platform soles and thick block heels.

When it comes to shoes, Beckinsale usually favors her staple ankle and knee-high black boots from brands like Alaïa. However, the “Underworld” star also wears Naked Wolfe platform sneakers and Saint Laurent sandals while off-duty. For formal occasions, Beckinsale dons towering pumps and sandals by Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Valentino and Stuart Weitzman. She’s a strong force in the fashion world as well, regularly appearing in front rows for brands like Elie Saab, Moschino and Giambattista Valli, among others.
