Kate Middleton promoted her “Shaping Us” campaign, which focuses on early childhood development, in Kent, Eng., today. The royal joined a family portage session, which is a service that supports children with disabilities and special educational needs and their families.
Coming from a streak of high heels, the Princess of Wales stepped out into a pair of Boden black suede ballet flats. The footwear was constructed of textural suede uppers, a favorite of Middleton’s, that transitioned into sharp and triangular toes which were topped with woven buckles in black. Additionally, the footwear was slip-on for ease of wear and included short wedged heels that offered a subtle lift.
Retailing for $160, the footwear is available in a plethora of fall colors and a range of sizes on Boden’s website beyond black. Flats are a favorite of many celebrities, Middleton included. The shoe style offers the wearer an alternative to more uncomfortable heel styles. Flats tend to be easier on the feet and are usually embellished with high-shine ornate detailing that makes up for the lack of height.

Staying sharp, the royal was outfitted in a textural tweed double-breasted Zara blazer in bright red featuring structural shoulders, pocket detailing and ornate gold button detailing. The blazer was layered overtop a baggy tan top tucked into high-waisted black tailored trousers, a closet staple.
Rounding out her look, Middleton wore small woven gold hoop earrings from Spells of Love accompanied by a silver watch and a gemstone-encrusted ring. The royal’s long brown hair was gathered up into a bun, worn out of her face.
Middleton can often be found wearing pointed-toe pumps from Emmy London, Jimmy Choo and Stuart Weitzman, among others. However, her go-to style is Gianvito Rossi’s 105 pumps. In addition to her royal rotation of heels, the duchess also wears affordable sneakers from New Balance, Adidas, Superga and Zara on and off duty.
