Kate Middleton paid a visit to AW Hainsworth, a family-owned heritage textile mill, in Leeds, Eng., today. The mill was established in 1783 and manufactures British woolen cloth, high-performing technical textiles and fabrics. The Princess of Wales’ paternal ancestors were the owners of the woolen manufacturer.
For the occasion, the Princess of Wales stepped into a pair of Josie pumps from one of her go-to brands, Emmy London. The royal’s footwear was constructed of textural dark green suede uppers with sharp knife-like pointed toes all sat atop cushioned insoles that acted to cradle Middleton’s feet.
The Emmy London style retails for $490 and comes in a wide range of fall-ready colors and styles. Suede pumps are a go-to style for Middleton all year round. The suede construction of pumps like the royals’ are perfect for fall. Pointed-toe pumps, suede or not, are a staple in many celebrities’ wardrobes, Middleton included. Looking sharp, the public figure donned a wool Burberry suit set in a deep forest green that matched the color scheme of her shoes. The set was comprised of a structural blazer featuring ornate turtle shell buttons accompanied by high-waisted tailored trousers. Tucked into her trousers, Middleton layered on a crisp white collared button-down.
Middleton can often be found wearing pointed-toe pumps from Emmy London, Jimmy Choo and Stuart Weitzman, among others. However, her go-to style is Gianvito Rossi’s 105 pumps. In addition to her royal rotation of heels, the duchess also wears affordable sneakers from New Balance, Adidas, Superga and Zara on and off duty.
