Katy Perry Wears Tights Over Pumps While Sporting Fur Coat With No Shirt

Katy Perry might have felt “Hot N Cold” in her latest Paris Fashion Week ensemble.

The singer and “American Idol” host arrived at the Balenciaga fall couture 2024 show on June 26 sans shirt, wearing ripped tights over sharp pumps and staying warm in a long black fur coat.

Perry opted for an edgy ensemble to attend the high profile fashion event. She turned heads in a pair of low waisted sheer black tights, which featured rips and holes throughout the fabric. Contrasting this distressed garment, Perry slipped on a heavy fur coat that fell to her ankles. The jacket included loose sleeves and dramatic oversized lapels; the structured collar stood up behind her neck.

To align with the aesthetic, Perry wore her dark hair slicked back in a long, twisted style. She wore no earrings or necklace, letting the bold outfit take center stage. She did, however, look effortlessly cool in a pair of black Balenciaga sunglasses.

Beneath her tights, Perry’s shoes resembled the silhouette of the Balenciaga Knife pump, a popular item sold by the Spanish brand. Perry’s heels were presumably a neutral shade, with hints of beige visible through the runs in her stockings. The Knife silhouette boasts an ultra pointy toe — hence its name — as well as a dramatic arch and thin heel.

The tights-over-heels trend has been adopted by several celebrities lately. Sarah Jessica Parker, for example, took the look to the Met Gala in May, when she wore embellished tights over a pair of pumps.

Additional stars at the Balenciaga show included Naomi Watts and her daughter Kai Schreiber, Charli XCX, Nicole Kidman and a plethora of others with front row access to the latest fashion trends.

Perry has made a name for herself in fashion beyond the memorable looks she displays on and off the stage. The June 2022 FN cover star has her own shoe brand, Katy Perry Collections, which originally launched in 2017.
