Kristin Cavallari Brings ’90s Style to Girls’ Night Out with Sharp Black Boots

Kristin Cavallari gave ’90s dressing an autumn flair for her latest night out.

While socializing with friends on Saturday night, Cavallari posed for a mirror selfie in a set of sleek black boots. The Uncommon James founder’s footwear featured closed toes and knee-high shafts, given a modern touch from their smooth uppers. Though the pair’s heels couldn’t be seen, they likely included a stiletto, block or Cuban-heeled base for a subtle and sleek height boost.

Boots like Cavallari’s are a top trend during the fall season. Leather and suede knee-high styles in neutral hues including black, brown and cream are the most popular, due to their fuller coverage and versatility. Pairs are also regularly released each autumn from a range of brands, as seen in new pairs by labels including Vince Camuto, Stuart Weitzman and Gianvito Rossi.

Cavallari coordinated her boots to the rest of her outfit for the outing: a black strapless minidress and gold hoop earrings, which received a ’90s finish from a matching black choker and houndstooth-printed Anine Bing shoulder bag. The monochrome look smoothly mixed textures with a minimalist color scheme, similarly to the stark white dress and ankle-wrapped heels that Cavallari wore to present at the People’s Choice Country Awards in September.

For Cavallari, contemporary styles are a constant in her shoe rotation. The “Balancing in Heels” author is often seen in Chelsea, lace-up and Western boots by Jimmy Choo, Bottega Veneta and Isabel Marant. Her off-duty rotation also features Veronica Beard mules and Alexander McQueen sneakers. When it comes to the red carpet, however, Cavallari wears strappy sandals, mules and platforms from top brands such as Larroudé, Gucci and Schutz.
