LeBron James brought dynamic style to the Los Angeles Lakers’ latest basketball game.
Before playing against the Denver Nuggets in Denver, Colorado on Tuesday, James arrived in a sharp Louis Vuitton outfit. For the occasion, the basketball star lead into a pair of smooth black derby shoes, complete with lace-up fronts and rounded toes. Thick, ridged lug soles and small silver side studs completed the set with a modern, utilitarian edge.
James’ footwear leaned into the classic nature of the staple derby shoe, which he further emphasized by pairing his shoes with matching black socks.
The athlete’s derby shoes added a dapper flair to his custom Vuitton attire for the occasion, which featured pleated black trousers with a collarless tweed jacket. The outerwear was cinched with gleaming pearl buttons, which smoothly offset its geometric beige, brown and green “Damoflage” pattern. The set was further elevated by his glossy, rounded black sunglasses for a futuristic finish.

For an added burst of prints, James also carried two Vuitton bags for the occasion. One encompassed a custom Speedy — the brand’s rounded leather duffle-style bag — in green leather, complete with white “LV” monograms and light tan trim. The second encompassed a classic brown briefcase, covered in the house’s same monogram with light tan leather trim and gleaming gold hardware.
James’ shoe style is sporty and classic. On and off the red carpet, the athlete is often seen in a range of sneakers hailing from his own namesake label at Nike. Outside of sneakers, James also wears neutral leather loafers and combat boots for formal occasions.
