Leona Lewis Pops in Hidden Heels and Diamonds at amfAR Gala Venezia 2023

Leona Lewis made a vibrant entrance to the amfAR Gala Venezia during the 2023 Venice Film Festival.

While in Venice, Italy for the occasion on Sunday night, Lewis — who is one of the occasion’s featured musical performers, alongside Rita Ora — stepped out in hidden heels. Though the “Bleeding Love” singer’s footwear couldn’t be seen, it likely featured a pointed-toe pump or sandal silhouette, given her formal outings over the years and similar heels seen on gala guests like Ora, Bella Thorne and Beatrice Granno.

Lewis’ attire, however, packed a punch for the occasion: a bright red off-the-shoulder dress, which featured a flared and flounced shape that appeared to mimic the unfurling petals of a blooming rose. The piece also featured angled bodice paneling that created a semi-peplum waistline, further flowing into a flared floor-length hem.

The “One Step Closer” singer smoothly paired her scarlet dress with equally tonal lipstick, creating a streamlined appearance from head to toe. Lewis’ attire was also accented with sparkling diamond post earrings and a swirling, delicate collar necklace, glamorously completing her ensemble while allowing her dress’ statement hue and detailing to further stand out.

The Venice Film Festival will feature international movies and cinematic shorts debuting for the new season. The 80th annual event is also taking place during the SAG-AFTRA strike, which has current interim agreements to allow U.S. actors to appear at the occasion. Aside from numerous premieres — including “Maestro,” “Priscilla” and “Ferrari” — the week will conclude with its starry amFar Gala, featuring performances by Leona Lewis and Rita Ora.
