Lily James Dons Black Leather Booties for ‘Old Friends’ Stephen Sondheim Tribute in London

Lily James attended Stephen Sondheim’s “Old Friends” opening night held yesterday in London.

The “Pam and Tommy” star stepped out in a pair of black boots. Standing at what appeared to be ankle-length, the thespian’s footwear featured shiny and slouchy black patent leather uppers that transitioned into triangular toes and sturdy arched soles.

The set was finished off with thick 3 to 4-inch block heels that offered James a substantial lift. Fall-centric booties are widely available from a variety of low and high-end brands making them easily accessible.

James often opts for glamorous styles on and off the red carpet. The British star can be seen in jewel-toned and metallic sandals, slingback and platform pumps by Versace, Vivienne Westwood and Jimmy Choo on the red carpet. Off-duty, James’ footwear is similarly whimsical and chic, thanks to fluffy Ugg slides, Chantelle slippers and chunky New Balance sneakers. Aside from wearing stylish shoes, James has served as a fragrance ambassador for Burberry in recent years.

“Old Friends” by Cameron Mackintosh is a tribute concert to late musical theatre trailblazer Stephen Sondheim. The sold-out show featured the talents of Michael Ball, Helena Bonham Carter, Rob Brydon, Petula Clark, Rosalie Craig, Janie Dee, Judi Dench, Daniel Evans, Maria Friedman, Haydn Gwynne and Bonnie Langford among others.

All proceeds from the event at both the Sondheim and Prince Edward Theatres go to the Stephen Sondheim Foundation in order to support budding playwrights, composers and lyricists. The show will be playing at the Gielgud Theater until Jan. 6, 2024.
