The shoes also had tan accents.

Sporty Spice has stayed true to her name. Mel C attended Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on July 3, marking day three of the tennis tournament in a breezy pantsuit paired with matching white sneakers.

The Spice Girls singer wore white pants with a relaxed fit at the bottom; the fabric gathered loosely at the ankles. She paired the pants with a crisp white blazer, which brought an elevated sophistication to the tournament in England. Mel C casualized the look with a simple scoop neck crop top in a shade of burnt sienna. She matched the shirt to a small leather clutch, which was a slightly lighter hue. When it came to jewelry, she kept it simple without earrings or a necklace and wore her brown hair out in waves.

Mel C leaned into her sporty roots with a pair of clean white sneakers. Though partially covered by her pants, they featured tan accents that matched the other splashes of color provided by her shirt and clutch. In addition to providing comfort, they aligned with the athletic theme of Wimbledon. The sneakers ultimately brought a laid back spirit to the ensemble.

While she’s known as Sporty Spice, Mel C will sometimes channel the fashion sense of Posh Spice, aka Victoria Beckham. For an appearance on “The Late Late Show With James Corden” in 2021, she wore a cutout dress with heeled sandals from PVC; the shoes featured transparent straps. Mel B, meanwhile, has recently worn bold pairs of shoes designed by Philipp Plein.

With Wimbledon in full swing and “Challengers” still dominating pop culture conversations, tennis fashion is undoubtedly trending right now. For example, the brands Beams and On have announced they are collaborating on a capsule collection inspired by the sport. See Adidas’ fall 2024 London tennis collection below.
