Thom Browne held a book signing and cocktail party in Seoul, South Korea, to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary. The event took place on Oct. 20 and boasted an impressive list of star-studded attendees, including K-pop superstars NCT’s Johnny Suh and Shinee’s Lee Taemin.
Accompanied by ankle-length socks, both boy group members were styled a pair of black patent leather oxfords. The dressy style included rounded toes with textural glossy patent leather uppers accompanied by short stacked block heels that offered each singer a subtle boost in height. The neutral and sleek style offered both Taemin and Johnny’s looks a preppy touch, further acting to dress up his ensemble. Oxfords are a popular footwear style among both men and women.
Accompanying their dressy footwear, Johnny wore a deep blue suit jacket worn overtop a green and white paisley-printed sweater and white button-down combo. On the bottom, the “Kick It” singer sported dark gray trousers. In a more casual fashion, Taemin wore a blue, red, gray, brown and white bomber jacket paired with blue slacks.

Following the cocktail event, Thom Browne discussed some of the most memorable moments of the designer’s career with “Minari” actress Youn Yuh-Jung. The riveting discussion was held at the Leeum Museum of Art on Saturday.
Browne founded his namesake brand in 2003 and has since garnered a cult following, backed by major star power from Seoul to the USA. The American fashion designer is celebrating this milestone with the release of a collector’s book, a global tour and a series of special events.
From BTS to Blackpink, many big names in K-pop have partnered with equally big names in fashion including Dior and Prada to Louis Vuitton, bridging the gap between high fashion and the South Korean pop industry.
