Nicky Hilton brought nonchalant summer style a Y2K spin while out in New York City.
On Tuesday, Hilton posed by Central Park on Instagram Stories, wearing a pair of brown thong sandals. The French Sole collaborator‘s style featured thin front T-shaped straps crafted from smooth leather, set atop flat round-toed soles for a contemporary base.
Hilton’s casual footwear provided a clean base for her equally relaxed outfit: a blue-striped white collared shirt, which was tucked into Alice + Olivia‘s $375 Rye skirt — a blue denim style with a high waist and sharp front slit. Similar skirts have risen as a top summer denim style, thanks to their association to the early 2000s and the era’s bohemian casual trends; midi and maxi-length iterations have been launched from a range of brands in 2023, including Madewell, Gap and Reformation.
A range of versatile accessories completed Hilton’s outfit: a brown leather Hermès Birkin handbag with palladium hardware, a silver Tiffany & Co. HardWear link necklace and a gleaming silver watch, as well as a lightweight brown-brimmed hat. The ensemble showed another element of the star’s bohemian style side, which she also exhibited on Instagram while in the Hamptons for an Altuzarra event: Joseph Altuzarra’s signature green and yellow shibori-dyed espadrilles and a matching mini handbag, layered with the designer’s golden yellow knotted maxi dress.

Versatile pairs crafted from leather, suede or rubber in hues of brown, white or black are the most popular, as well as iterations in jewel tones or classic metallics. New pairs have been seen in a range of recent brand launches as well, released by labels including Tory Burch, Havaianas and Tkees.
When it comes to shoes, Hilton’s styles are glamorous and chic, with a nod to her Y2K years first in the spotlight. The star often favors pointed-toe and platform pumps in neutral tones by Valentino, Chanel and Dior. Her red carpet looks feature similar styles embellished with bows and crystals by Mach & Mach, Giannico and Rene Caovilla. When it comes to off-duty dressing, Hilton wears sharp flats from her own French Sole line, as well as Adidas sneakers.
