Nicole Kidman turned Balenciaga‘s fall couture 2024 show into a family event, bringing along her daughter Sunday Rose to the show held on June 26 in Paris. Kidman’s appearance at the show is a no-brainer, given she acts as the brand’s global ambassador, joining the likes of Kim Kardashian, Michelle Yeoh, Isabelle Huppert and Krit Amnuaydechkorn.
The mother-daughter duo served up matching looks, putting their best fashion foot forward in head-to-toe Balenciaga. Sunday Rose opted for a glossy pair of black leather pumps featuring a geometric, space-age construction.
The jet-black set featured knife-like pointed toes, a design staple of Balenciaga’s, along with glossy patent leather uppers, exaggerated heels and 1 to 2-inch stilettos in an ultra-thin style. Unlike classic black pumps, Balenciaga’s offering is glossy and futuristic, melding the beloved silhouette with the experimental brand’s DNA.

Kidman’s footwear was not visible, however, it is likely the “Eyes Wide Shut” star wore a pair of pumps similar to her daughter’s. Balenciaga has an array of similar black pump styles that also include futuristic detailing that sets every pair apart from the rest.
On the outfit front, the 15-year-old was styled in a black form-fitted turtleneck dress made of a textural crushed velvet that added dimension the otherwise simple silhouette. The fitted garment was layered over black tights and accompanied by large sunglasses that eclipsed Sunday Rose’s features.
Kidman wore a black gown in a turtleneck style. Her fitted dress, made from crystalized black fabric, featured short sleeves and a free-flowing skirt that extended over her footwear. This look slightly contrasted with her daughter’s. To complete the look, the “Moulin Rouge” actress accessorized with thin, ’90s-inspired black sunglasses.
Kidman and Sunday Rose weren’t the only mother-daughter duo turning heads at Balenciaga’s fall couture 2024 show, either. Naomi Watts and 15-year-old daughter Kai Schreiber contrasted in white and black outfits but matched their satin pumps. Katy Perry, Charli XCX and Teyana Taylor, among other celebrities with a penchant for avant-garde fashion, also attended.
