Priscilla Presley attended the 2024 Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Gala held in New York on Thursday. The event is held to honor some of the biggest stars in the music industry. Notable attendees included Presley, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urband, SZA and Kevin Bacon.
For the gala, the “The Naked Gun” star donned black Chelsea boots. The style featured glossy patent leather uppers accompanied by pointed toes and thick and sturdy block heels standing at around 2 to 3 inches. The style is usually worn during the colder months given it offers the feet a full-coverage look, protecting the wearer from the cold. Presley wore her boots with black tights.
Chelsea boots as we know them today can be traced back to the early 19th century in England. The boot style was originally called a “paddock boot” or “J,” aptly named after the silhouette’s creator Mr. J Sparkes-Hall, Queen Victoria’s bootmaker. The boot was conceived in 1837. The style is still increasingly popular today.

Accompanying her fall-ready footwear, the actress wore a white blouse featuring neck tie detailing, billowing balloon sleeves and dazzling crystal trim. The western-inspired top was paired with a voluminous black skirt in a maxi length that stopped just above her ankles. Rounding out her look, Presley toted a simple black leather clutch.
