On June 6, Queen Camilla and French first lady Brigitte Macron honored the 80th anniversary of D-Day wearing complementary all-white outfits, complete with classic pumps.
Accompanied by their husbands King Charles III and French president Emmanuel Macron, the women were in attendance at the UK Ministry of Defense and the British Royal Legion’s event held at the British Normandy Memorial in northern France. The gathering commemorates the day that Allied troops invaded Normandy on June 6, 1944, a milestone military victory leading to the end of World War II.
For the serious occasion, Queen Camilla opted for an ankle-length jacket made of a flowing material that reached her ankles. The elegant coat was embellished with silver detailing around the collar and a broach on the right lapel. She also wore cream colored gloves and a wide brimmed hat, as members of the Royal family are wont to do for formal events. She carried a white clutch to match the rest of the pristine ensemble.
For her footwear, Queen Camilla wore pair of neutral-toned cream pumps with a slight heel; an off-white color, the heels paired well with her gloves. The queen consort often wears neutral-colored heels, which prove versatile as they blend with her wide-ranging outfits.

Meanwhile, Brigitte Macron wore a similar ensemble to honor the milestone anniversary of the historic military invasion. She wore a white above-the-knee dress with a high-neck jacket with a belt around the waist.
The French first lady’s shoes, meanwhile, were white pumps with a narrow heel and sharp toe. She’s a documented fan of pumps, having worn dark blue leather pumps on more than one occasion, among other heel choices.
