Rihanna Brings Back Pantaboots Trend for Fall 2023 While in New York City

Rihanna was spotted flying solo for an outing sans ASAP Rocky in New York yesterday.

For her solo trip in the Big Apple, the “Diamonds” songstress donned black pantaboots with sharp knife-like pointed toes, a glossy nylon finish and thin 2 to 3-inch stiletto heels. Pantaboots were a strong trend during the fall of 2022 and, according to Rihanna, the style will be back for another season.

The shoe-meets-pants is favored by many top stars including Kim Kardashian for its color diversity, sleek appearance and unique fit.

Rihanna’s pair could be likened to leggings or a pair of opaque tights thanks to their form fit and shiny finish.

Accompanying her interesting footwear choice, the “Don’t Stop The Music” singer sported a deep gray oversized wool trench coat that stopped just above the hitmaker’s ankles. The neutral outerwear featured black button closures and structural shoulders.

Accessorizing her ensemble, Rihanna toted a woven bright red Bottega Veneta bag which she wore with black rectangular sunglasses and a variety of diamond-encrusted pieces of jewelry. The performer’s lengthy tresses were parted to one side and styled in textural face-framing waves.

For Rihanna, no shoe is too bold — or heel too high. The “Rated R” musician has worn a wide range of shoes over the years, including sky-high heels and chunky sneakers. Rihanna’s red carpet styles often include strappy sandals, platforms and pointed-toe pumps by Muaddi, Prada and Tom Ford that coordinate with her outfits. Her off-duty styles also include similarly daring sandals and boots by Celine, Givenchy and Saint Laurent.

However, she’s also known for wearing statement sneakers by New Balance, Nike and Puma. Aside from her repertoire of stylish shoes, Rihanna’s also found success in launching her own Savage X Fenty, Fenty Beauty and Fenty labels in the fashion and beauty industries. Additionally, she’s served as a collaborator, campaign star and muse for top brands, including Dior, Chanel and Manolo Blahnik.
