Selena Gomez’s Chunky Aldo Loafers Gave Edgy Twist to Her Preppy Outfit at SiriusXM Studios

Selena Gomez, who is currently promoting her new song, “Single Soon,” visited SiriusXM Studios in Los Angeles yesterday.

The singer stepped into a pair of chunky black leather “Baberiel” loafers from Aldo for her promo interview, matching the preppy nature of her outfit with an edgy twist. The hitmaker’s footwear was composed of glossy patent leather uppers that transitioned into almond-shaped toes.

The leather silhouette sat atop thick platform-esque soles that offered Gomez a slight boost, accompanied by conservative square block heels. Loafers, no matter the style, are a closet staple for many top stars.

The “Come & Get It” singer donned a two-piece patent leather set, hence the high-shine finish both pieces exhibited. The set was comprised of a cropped black jacket layered over top a white and black striped crew-neck that was tucked into a coordinating black leather miniskirt.

Both the jacket and skirt featured a houndstooth print that was embossed into the fabric, creating a unique textural element. Rounding out her look, the businesswoman donned Mejuri “Pyra” gold hoop earrings and slicked her dark tresses into a middle part and back into an updo of some sort.

When it comes to Gomez’s shoe style, the star often wears staple pairs on and off the red carpet. The singer regularly dons metallic sandals and neutral pointed-toe pumps for events by top brands, including Gianvito Rossi, Prada and Christian Louboutin. When off-duty, her outfits incorporate casual styles like Puma sneakers, Charles & Keith loafers and Ugg slippers. Gomez has also furthered her presence in the fashion industry as a campaign star and brand ambassador for Coach, Puma and Louis Vuitton over the years.
