Timothee Chalamet Becomes Bob Dylan in Suede Boots for ‘A Complete Unknown’

Timothee Chalamet is fully in character.

For his next project, “A Complete Unknown,” the star actor will portray the musician Bob Dylan. As images from the set of the project begin to surface, it’s clear that Chalamet looks the part. In the latest set, he’s wearing a pair of suede boots.

The “Wonka” star has been spotted in a series of boots for filing the biopic. These have included a suede pair of boots with a Cuban heel. Those styles were Chelsea boots featuring elastic patches. The Cuban heel was massively popular in the 1960s so it made sense. As a result, it wasn’t cause for surprise when Chalamet was spotted filming from the back of a motorcycle in boots that featured a heel as well.

The latest boots do not feature the Cuban heel. They are flat, brown suede boots that were also popular in the 1960s. The shoes feature a rounded toe. They also seem to be a Chelsea silhouette and possibly include elastic panels. These were designed to make the style easy to pull on and off.

Outside of filming, the actor is a fan of boots more generally. At the Golden Globes this year he wore a pair of glossy, black patent leather boots. He wore a similar pair from Tom Ford to a “Wonka” premiere in Toronto. He wore another pair of boots featuring a side zip at CinemaCon in 2023
