Viola Davis stepped in a metallic pair of pointed pumps out to attend The Evening of Readings & Gala Dinner as part of the 2024 Literacy Partners in New York City on Monday night alongside husband Julius Tennon. The actress arrived at the Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan as she was being honored with the Champion of Literacy award.
The “How to Get Away With Murder” star’s pumps came crafted in a glossy silver color and made with patent leather. An angular toe box accompanied the overall design of the shoe, which was completed by a pump heel measuring between 3-to-4 inches in height. Davis paired her pumps with a white pantsuit characterized by scrunched up sleeves, which sat over top a white cropped blouse.
Focusing the attention on her monochromatic ensemble, “The Woman King” actress kept her accessories simple with a silver clutch, and styled her bob in a wavy style.

Davis almost always chooses elevated footwear for her formal appearances. While at the Cannes Film Festival in May where she was awarded with the Grand Prix for the film “All We Imagine as Light” during the Closing Ceremony, the actress showcased a black pair of strappy sandals that included a singular strap across the toe box, a black ankle strap with a matching buckle and a stiletto heel estimated around 4 inches.
For the Chaplin Award Gala 2023 in New York, Davis completed her outfit with a pair of open-toe sandals that also included a stiletto heel around 4 inches in height. For the March 2023 world premiere of “Air” in Los Angeles, Davis appeared in metallic pointed-toe pumps that included a triangular iridescent pointed-toe and strappy accents on the sides of the shoe.
