In celebration of their 10-year collaborative partnership, Birkenstock and Concepts have introduced a new capsule inspired by the city of Miami and the brightly colored Art Deco buildings that line the streets of South Beach.
The duo’s latest tie-up features a range of colorful Birkenstock Arizona sandals made with long-haired cowhide in four vibrant hues – pink, mauve, lime green and faded orange.
According to Birkenstock, the collection, which retails for $270, will be celebrated during Art Basel in Miami on Thursday night at its soon-to-be-opened store in the Design District.
“Concepts has a rich history in Miami product storytelling,” Tarek Hassan, CEO of Concepts, said in a statement. “We found that art, design, and fashion share parallels with the times of Art Deco, and now, we are thrilled to partner with Birkenstock on a capsule around this week’s moment in Miami,” said Concepts CEO Tarek Hassan.

This is the latest in what seems to be a constant stream of collaborations for the German footwear brand. Just last week, Birkenstock teamed up once again with Stussy to debut the brand’s new Solana sandal, a reimagining of the brand’s Kyoto style.

A few days before its Stussy tie-up was announced, images of Birkenstock’s latest project with Kith emerged – this time on the footwear brand’s London silhouette. A braided treatment lines the London’s suede upper, drawing immediate comparisons to Nike’s recently relaunched Air Footscape Woven. Braids run a full circle around the clog just above the midsole, with the “Biscuit” colorway adding a red leather cord down the middle to make the standout feature pop even further.

Birkenstock’s first collection with Concepts can be traced all the way back to 2014 when the duo released a small capsule of co-branded Boston clogs. The unisex collection included two styles — a natural leather version, and one in bright orange felt. Both sported a fresh white outsole and contrasting brass buckle.
Meanwhile, those interested in the latest Birkenstock x Concepts collaboration can grab the capsule at Birkenstock Miami, 1774.com, both EU and US stores, as well as Cncpts.com beginning Dec. 8.
