People Are Still Searching for This Ambush x Converse Chuck 70 a Year Later — Here’s How You Can Get a Pair

Converse teamed up with streetwear label Ambush in October 2019 to introduce a new version of the Chuck 70, and a year later, fans are still searching for the collaborative sneaker. Although the shoe has sold out, you can still get a pair on the secondary market.

The look drew inspiration from Converse’s classic rubber military boot that debuted in the 1950s called the Extreme Cold Weather Boot. For the collab, Ambush brought its signature utilitarian styling on the monochromatic Converse Chuck 70 collab by switching the traditional canvas construction on the high-cut upper for weather-ready rubber. Converse’s classic All Star patch appears on the medial sides, while Ambush branding is stamped on the heel. Capping off the look is a chunky outsole. The shoe came with a suggested retail price of $180.

The Ambush x Converse Chuck 70 released alongside a Pro Leather style in a stealthy black colorway, which was the first time a designer got to rework the classic shoe. The model was also inspired by the aforementioned Extreme Cold Weather Boot similar to the Chuck 70 counterpart.
