Mom Destroys Son’s Adidas Yeezy Boosts in Twitter Prank

Adidas Yeezy Boosts are some of the hardest sneakers to come by, and those who are lucky enough to own the shoes often consider them to be the centerpieces of their collections. The coveted sneakers — which regularly command more $1,000 each on the secondary market — are held in high esteem to say the least, making the Twitter prank you are about to see hard to stomach.

The viral video begins with a bang, as a young man’s mother sets a pair of Pirate Black Adidas Yeezy Boost 350s on fire. As the flames begin to build, she calls her son into the garage to witness the carnage.

“Look what I did,” the mother says with a laugh as the boy looks on, shocked.

Apparently, the mother in the video thought it would be funny to prank her son by igniting the expensive Kanye West-designed sneakers. “This is not a prank — them shoes is not cheap,” the son says as he tries to make sense of the situation.

Toward the end of the clip, the mom reveals what she apparently believed would be a suitable replacement for the Yeezy Boost 350s; a pair of all-black Nike Roshe Runs.

Despite their socklike similarities, the Roshe Runs weren’t enough to keep the young man from getting angry and turning the camera off.
