‘South Park’ and Adidas Are Dropping a New Sneaker Collab For 4/20 Inspired by Towelie

We’re a couple weeks away from April 20, the day where those who indulge commemorate the smoking of marijuana. Ahead of this year’s observance, Adidas will reportedly drop a collaboration with “South Park” that’s fitting for sneaker fans who are celebrating.

Images have surfaced of the Adidas Campus 80 style created in partnership with the hit animated series, which is inspired by one of its most beloved characters, Towelie.

The shoe features a soft terrycloth material on the upper in purple, referencing the look of Towelie, and is offset by white Three Stripes branding on the sides and a matching leather heel tab. Adding to the design are the character’s eyes on the tongue, which changes to red after being exposed to UV light. In addition, Towelie’s famous taglines including “Don’t forget to bring a towel” and “I have no idea what’s going on” are stamped behind the tongue, which also has a hidden stash pocket appears underneath. Also included in the packaging is a set of Towelie keychains. Completing the look is a white cupsole tooling.

Although images of the “South Park” x Adidas Campus 80 “Towelie” collab were revealed, the brand has not yet announced the release info for the shoe.

In related Adidas news, a new “Light” colorway of the popular Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 is reportedly hitting shelves this summer. Much like the aforementioned collab, the latest style features a UV-sensitive upper that turns parts of the shoe from white to gray when exposed to heat.
