Camper had its pink glasses on for the presentation of its spring-summer 2016 model Kobarah during the off-fairground festivities of Milan’s furniture fair Salone del Mobile on Tuesday at its CamperLab store in Via Monte Napoleone.
Made from a single EVA mould that wraps around the foot, the sandal features a mid-height heel and comes in four color ways, retailing for 150 euros, or $171. “We wanted a very naive look, but very complex technology, comfort and lightness,” said Camper’s creative director Romain Kremer at the event.

“We started with making long tubes of play-dough and placing it on the foot and in the end it looked like a Kobra,” he explained the name of the shoe.
Also at the event was the the brand’s testimonial and creation of an anonymous London-based artist: Pandemonia. Wrapped in a pink latex dress and wearing the new shoe, the character towered over the crowd and caught eyes from outside the store.

“I just love characters like that,” said Kremer, while indulging on pink cotton candy candy and colored cocktails. “She could not be any more perfect for the Kobarah.”
