Fratelli Rossetti Unveils Limited-Edition Sneaker For Milan Design Week

LIGHT IT UP: In occasion of the 55th edition of Milan’s furniture fair Salone del Mobile from Apr.12 to 17, Fratelli Rossetti is launching a limited edition collection of one if its summer 2016 styles, which is available of today [April 8] and will be celebrated with a cocktail on Thursday at the brand’s boutique in Via Montenapoleone.

The minimalistic low top white leather sneaker with a caramel colored lining, named Fluo, received a fresh update with hand-painted fluorescent details, such as bigger brush strokes and butterflies and retails for $510.

Starting from Saturday, the four colorways in yellow, fuchsia, green and orange will be displayed in the shop windows for the entire duration of Milan Design Week against the backdrop of the installation “Walking Light” conceived by the project Servomuto that revamps old lampshades. The installation will also be on display in the Paris and New York stores on Apr. 12 and 20, respectively.

The collaboration with Servomuto is part of the brand’s New Artisan initiative, which taps artists from different areas to showcase their skills in a series of monthly events at the Fratelli Rossetti Milan store, such as skateboards, sunglasses and phone covers.
