Tamara Mellon, Louise Camuto & More Reveal Their Hamptons Hot Spots

Hamptons regulars and vacationers alike are always on the hunt for new hot spots out east. We talked to five top fashion players about where to go in the area.

Tamara Mellon, founder & creative director, Tamara Mellon

Where to dine: “I love a cozy night at home. If venturing out, I love Pierre’s or Redbar in Southampton.”

Louise Camuto, chief creative officer, Camuto Group

Where to dine: “I love sitting in the gardens at Tutto il Giorno and Sant Ambroeus.”

Favorite stores: “Ruby Beets for exquisite furnishings and L’Objet for unique gifts and tabletop inspiration. I also love shopping at Carleen Ligozio, which has the most beautiful clothing and jewelry.”

Alison Loehnis, president, Net-a-Porter

Where to dine: “The Crow’s Nest in Montauk, Tutto il Giorno in Sag Harbor, and I never miss a visit to Nick & Toni’s. For old time’s sake, I also love a trip to the Candy Kitchen. Sunset Beach and Vine Street on Shelter Island are also favorites.”

Rainy-day activity: “The Parish Art Museum in Water Mill is wonderful.”

Favorite stores:  “I always love strolling down Main Street in East Hampton, and the pharmacy there is the best. I have a real love for drug stores! But with Net-a-Porter’s same-day delivery service to the Hamptons, I still purchase almost entirely online!”

Seth Campbell, VP of international sales, BBC International

Where to dine: “The only place I eat out is Sant Ambroeus. I like the new Citarella in Southampton because
I cook at home for my family and it’s a one-stop shop.”

Must-visit: “Campbell Stables is the best place to spend a day on Long Island.”

Joey Wölffer, co-owner Wölffer Estate Vineyards, owner, Styleliner and Joey Wölffer

Where to Dine: Wölffer Kitchen, of course! We are excited about the opening of the vineyard’s first restaurant and have already received a ton of positive feedback. Another new favorite Sag Harbor spot of mine is Harbor Market Kitchen. They have the best lobster roll around. If you’re looking for sushi, Sen is great. For Italian food, I head to Tutto il Giorno, and If I’m making a trip to Montauk, The Crows Nest is the perfect atmosphere for an evening out.

Favorite Stores: Sag Harbor is home to some really special shops, Black Swan Antiques being one of them. It’s a mecca for reasonably priced,  refurbished antique furniture. The owners are also lovely, making it an even more enjoyable shopping experience. Some of my other favorites are Collette Consignment, the ultimate consignment treasure box; Matta for caftans; Duck & Weave for fabulous lightweight summer shirts; and Lazy Point Variety Store in Amagansett for the best Brazilian bathing suits!
