Matchesfashion.com is getting into the sneaker game in a major way.
On Wednesday, the high-end site launched its new Sneaker Studio for men, offering a mix of luxury sneakers for both an active and off-duty lifestyle. The studio includes versions from sportswear experts, designer names and cult brands.
“Over the last couple of seasons, the sneaker has become a core product, and styles from designers and cult labels resonate with our customer,” said junior buyer Ben Carr. “We expect the Sneaker Studio to become a destination on the site.”
For fall, the special space debuts with more than 30 brands. The unique mix includes Arkk Copenhagen, a sports orientated sneaker brand; No.288, a New York-based footwear label; ETQ, a Dutch brand that focuses on premium quality simple sneakers; and OAMC, a brand known for striking a balance between a clean silhouette and innovative techniques.
Other key brands on the site include Y-3, Qasa, Balenciaga and Eytys.
